Join us for a night of magic, as together, we rekindle the spirit of days long gone...a time when things were not so complicated and rushed.
Michael, the “singing cowboy poet”, trademarked his Cowboy Christmas Ball in 1985 using the 1880’s classic song, (Cowboy Christmas Ball) written by Larry Chittenden.   Michael was inspired to create a show that included his original cowboy songs and poetry, material drawn from classic and contemporary cowboy songwriters and poets, traditional American Christmas songs and traditional frontier dance tunes.

Out of their friendship, a unique partnership blossomed between Michael and Howard.  Dr. Hudiburg, wrote the orchestral accompaniment to some of the music you will be enjoying. The Texas State University Chamber Orchestra will be showcasing their talents as they accompany Michael on selected
arrangements through out the night.

Seating: For all tickets purchased online by Dec. 3-
Orders are processed by row. (Best seating is offered to those who order first)
We expect to have tickets available night of the event, but can not guarantee that possibility.  *Special needs - seating arrangements can be made for tickets purchased in advance.

Venue: For this year’s Cowboy Christmas Ball, we selected the LBJ Student Center Ballroom as our venue.  This venue allows for a more intimate setting, free parking nearby in the LBJ Student Center Parking Garage, a cash bar, ample dance floor space and...the staggered stage heights will provide great viewing no matter where your seated!

Dress: Wear your best western duds  or come cowboy casual.  You can even dress in the style of the period.

It's a reunion from the old days when Texas pioneers  danced away every Christmas.  *It is a performance with dancing as an option.  You choose your level of enjoyment and/or participation.

We hope that for years to come, memories of this performance will be some of your best ever!
